Sunseed, Roki Win KACITA Quality Award

Mukwano Group of Companies dominated the Cooking Oil category of the Kampala City Traders Associations (KACITA) Quality Awards.

Sunseed Ultra Refined Sunflower Cooking Oil and Roki Refined and Fortified Vegetable Cooking were both presented with the Cooking Oil Quality Award at KACITA’s prize-giving ceremony held at UMA Multi-purpose Hall on July 12^th.

An average of 60% consumer survey and 40% SMS voting by the public determined the winners. The results audited by Institute of Corporate Governance.

Minister of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives Hon. America Kyambadde who represented President Yoweri Museveni urged award winners to maintain good quality. Kyambadde also encouraged companies whose products were unable to win to aim at winning next year.

The minister appealed to small and medium enterprises to get their products certified by Uganda National Bureau of Standards.
