GENERAL WARNING ON ‘SCAM’ PROCUREMENT SCHEMES (Non-regulatory Information)

The Company announces that it has recently become aware of suspected fraudulent persons engaging our stake holders into transactions that our company is not aware of. A number of suppliers of raw materials may have been affected as a result of the foregoing.

The suspected fraudulent persons make references to certain information of the Company including the Company’s logo, images of the Company’s properties, directors, details of the Company subsidiaries, and other company related materials.

The Company wishes to clarify that it is not responsible for any transaction that may arise as a result of such fraudulent engagements. All stake holders are therefore advised to have a personal touch with the company and or ensure proper due diligence is carried out on any persons purportedly transacting on our behalf.

Suppliers are particularly advised to take the utmost care when being approached by persons purporting to make orders and issuing purchase orders on behalf of Mukwano Group. In particular, they should contact us on such suspicious transactions
