SHIFT SUPERVISOR – SOAP PLANT, KAMPALA

Reporting to Production Officer / Business Unit Manager, The Successful Candidate Will;

Key Result Areas: *Allocating and monitoring work assigned to subordinates. *Providing technical guidance and support to subordinates in the plant. *Monitoring inventory and preparing requisitions for raw materials and spare parts. *Preparing daily production reports. *Daily overseeing of preventive maintenance and make sure it is timely done to ensure reduction of down time. *Ensuring efficient plant utilization with company quality standard from production planning. *Monitoring performance of workers during the production process. *Entering production data into the Enterprise Resource Application database. *Overseeing housekeeping in the production area. *In consultation with the production Officer / Manager, determine and implement efficient production methods. *Ensuring that the products are produced on time and of good quality. *Monitoring the production process and make sure that quality-control programs are implanted. *Selecting and maintaining of equipment and work with managers to ensure that the company’s policies and goals are accomplished on time. *Implementing the health and safety guidelines in the plant for human, material and machinery. *Identifying training needs. *To communicate business and company issue to direct report to line manager and engender a good team spirit. *Any other duties assigned by the PO / Manufacturing Manager / BUM.

 EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

*Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Food Science and Technology; Chemistry or related discipline. *2 Years relevant experience in a similar field

 SKILLS & PROFESSIONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

*Good communication skills including reading skills. *An aptitude for math. *Physical strength and stamina. *The ability to work in high places. *The ability to get along well with co-workers. *The ability to keep up to date with changing technology. *Strategic Planning. *Team building skills. *Decision & problem-solving skills. *Planning skills. * Conform to environmental management system requirements
