RECYCLING MACHINE OPERATOR, KAMPALA

Reporting to Shift Supervisor/ Production Officer, The Successful Candidate Will;

Key Result Areas: *Operate and monitor recycling equipment such as washing lines, crushers, balers, and shredders to process materials. *Sort materials such as plastic, glass, and paper and ensure they are processed in the correct machinery. *Perform maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating machinery, replacing worn parts, and repairing equipment as necessary. *Conduct regular safety checks to ensure that machinery is operating safely and in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations. *Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems and perform routine adjustments and repairs. *Monitor the quality of recycled materials and ensure they meet company standards and specifications. *Maintain production records and prepare reports on production output, equipment maintenance, and material quality. *Work collaboratively with other members of the recycling team, such as sorters and drivers, to ensure that production quotas are met. *Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment. *Any other duties assigned by the Shift Supervisor or Production Officer.

Educational Qualifications and Experience *Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education with a bias in science subjects. *1-2 years of experience in machine operation, preferably in a recycling or manufacturing environment. *Familiarity with recycling equipment and machinery, including balers, crushers, and shredders.

Skills & Professional Attributes Required *Good communication skills including reading skills. *An aptitude for math. *Mechanical ability. *Physical strength and stamina. *Ability to work in high places. *Ability to get along well with co-workers. *Ability to keep up to date with changing technology. *Ability to do precision work
