PLANT OPERATOR- SOAP PLANT, KAMPALA

Reporting to Shift Supervisor, The Successful Candidate Will;

Key Result Areas: *Check to ensure that all plant machines are set to optimal utilization. *Check to ensure that input material and products meet quality requirements. *Follow the established procedures and guidelines to manufacture products according to production specifications and schedules; volume, cost, and wastage targets; and quality standards. *Coordinate with Maintenance department to trouble-shoot and perform regular maintenance on equipment. *Implement good manufacturing practices such as housekeeping, labeling and records. *Monitor the normal functional status of all pumps, motors and valves. *Ensure that the filters are timely cleaned and changed. *Ensure that required raw materials stocks are availed in time. *Inspect and monitor service and repair update checklist on all machines. *Ensure correct transfer of material such as oil and raw material from one location to another. *Any other duties assigned by the Shift Supervisor.

 EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

*Diploma Industrial Chemistry, Food Science and Technology or related discipline. *Bachelors degree is an added advantage. *Knowledge of Manufacturing Process. *Two year’s working experience in a similar role in a large company.  *An aptitude for math.

SKILLS & PROFESSIONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

*The ability to meet the physical demands of the job, such as standing up for long hours, Working in Heights, and lifting heavy loads occasionally, *Ability to multitask, *Communication Skills, *Full understanding of industry safety standards, *Time Management, *Attention to Detail, * Result Oriented, *Interpersonal skills, *Records management skills and *good behavioral competences
