MAIZE MILL OPERATOR – LIRA
Reporting To Production Officer/ Business Unit Manager, The Successful Candidate Will;
Key Result Areas: *Operate maize milling machinery efficiently and safely. *Monitor the milling process to ensure consistent quality and production targets are met. *Adjust machinery settings as needed to optimize milling performance. *Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of milling equipment to ensure smooth operation. *Inspect machinery for signs of wear or damage and report any issues to the supervisor. *Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. *Keep accurate records of milling production, including batch sizes, yields, and any quality issues. *Collaborate with other team members to coordinate milling operations and maintain workflow. *Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times. *Take care of machine maintenance.

Educational Qualifications and Experience
*Diploma or Certificate in Milling related field from a recognized institute. *2 to 4 years’ experience operating milling machinery preferred. *Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance tasks. *Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. *Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing production demands. *Basic math skills and ability to read and interpret production schedules and equipment manuals. *Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices preferred.
Skills & Professional Attributes Required
*Ability to operate maize milling machinery effectively, understanding of machinery mechanics and ability to perform maintenance tasks. *Skill in ensuring maize products meet quality standards, knowledge of safety protocols for operating machinery. *Ability to notice and address small details in the milling process. *Capacity to troubleshoot and resolve issues during production, Proficiency in maintaining accurate production records. *Ability to collaborate with colleagues to achieve production goals, Flexibility to handle changes in production demands. *Understanding of food safety regulations and practices.
