The position reports to the Workshop Supervisor.

 Key Result Areas: *Fabrication of machine & mold parts to specification using machine tools such as lathes, shapers or grinders. *Measure, examine and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers. *Set up, adjust and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools. *Monitor the feed and speed of machines during machining process. *Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency. *Clean and lubricate machines, tools, equipment and your work area. *Adhere to company environment, Health and safety regulations while at work. *Select the appropriate tools, machines and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work. *Performing any other duties assigned by the workshop supervisor

Educational Qualifications & Experience

*Ordinary Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Craft II certificate in Mechanical Engineering. *2 years relevant experience in a similar role.

*Strong general management and demonstrated leadership skills. *Must be good at application of creativity and innovative skills in managing projects. *Should have good analyzing skills as well. *Should be a problem solver and be able to grasp the problem at hand and take quick steps to resolve it. *Ability to develop, formulate strategy and exercise good judgement. *Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
