Aqua Sipi Water Boosts Africa Cross Country Championship

Mukwano Group of Companies, through its Aqua Sipi water, has sponsored the Africa Cross Country Championship slated for this Sunday at Kololo Airstrip in Kampala with 4800 bottles of water.

With this offer of Aqua Sipi, the 400 athletes from 32 African countries will, like Uganda's Olympic Gold medallist Mr. Stephen Kiprotich, 'Kip Siping' on our natural, fresh water.

Aqua Sipi, the drink of champions is proud to continue associating with athletics and champions from 32 African countries that have gathered in Kampala to compete in this race.

Mukwano Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mr. Tony Gadhoke said that as a responsible corporate citizen the company rewarded sports excellence by taking on Mr. Stephen Kiprotich as Aqua Sipi brand ambassador and in addition undertook to support Uganda Athletics Federations (UAF) produce more gold medallists by supporting nearly all events on the local athletics calendar.

"Aqua Sipi brand does not only passively support sports but we actively participates in football in the Corporate League, golf which I play at Uganda Golf Club and boxing where our staff Mr. Hudson Muhumuza is a professional boxer," Mr. Gadhoke said.

Aqua Sipi will field two teams in the Corporate Race that will precede the Africa Cross Country Championship this Sunday.

Mr. Gadhoke handed over the water to UAF Assistant Secretary Mr. Apollo Musherure at the Aqua Sipi factory and pledged to continue contributing to development of sports in Uganda.
